Welcome To Shalom Ya'll Music ®
My name is Mike Burstein. I'm originally from Philly, grew up there, and around age 13 moved to NJ and finally settled in Lynchburg Va, in 1984 where I now live with my lovely wife Lisa and my son Aaron who will turn 8 in Jan, 07. I've been playing guitar and bass for over 30 years and have been teaching professionally for over 15 years. It all started when my Uncle Jeff bought me an acoustic when I was around 10 or 11. I took a few lessons from a local teacher named Mitch Glider in Philly. I didn't stick with it at that point. When I was around 16 or 17, I moved to Parsippany New Jersey with my dad and around 1977 I discovered KISS and Boston and Classic Rock. In 1984 I finally setlled down in Lynchburg, Va. after years of trying to " find " myself. Like alot of musicians I took up guitar to get the attention I felt that I needed and soon realized that this is a great emotional and creative outlet for me to express myself, and I was good at something other than getting into trouble. I have played in several bands over the years. I helped form a local blues band along with Ricky Morton, a great blues singer, called the "Crawling King Snakes", ( they changed the name to CKS after I left ). I am currently going to school to earn an Associates degree in Web Design.

I currently have a self produced CD of original tunes " Just 4 Now" ranging from soft rock, acoustic rock, to hard rock and jazz, ( there are 8 songs on it ) you can order a copy for $13.00
I feel that my talent is playing and writting music, that 1st and foremost glorifies God. I want people to see that Jesus is real in my life and that no matter what life throws at you. God will always bring you thru it. He promises you that.
